Liposuction |
Many innovationss in liposuction or liposculpture have come about in recent years. Tumescent fluid infiltration, ultrasonic liposuction, laser-assisted liposuction, water-assisted liposuction, and the use of small delicate liposuction cannulas, have all assisted our ability to reliably and safely recontour areas of fat throughout the body with liposuction. The tumescent fluid minimizes any bleeding, and the liposuction cannulas gently break up the fat cells to remove them. In addition, we also utilize newer techiques of liposuction which allow for simultaneous fat-grafting which can help repair indentations or contour irregularities from previous liposuction or cellulite, as well as provide an augmentation to other areas such as the buttocks. During your liposuction, a number of the current techniques may be employed as needed to help obtain an optimal result. During your consultation individual factors are evaluated to determine if you are a good candidate for liposuction. With computer imaging, we will review realistic goals for your liposuction. Contours can be permanently changed, but weight is a function of diet, exercise, and metabolism. Done with the proper indications, liposuction can be a very safe and effective way to improve your shape.
