Rhinoplasty |
Rhinoplasty, or surgery to reshape the nose, is one of the most common of all plastic surgery procedures. Rhinoplasty can reduce or increase the size of your nose, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, narrow the span of the nostrils, or change the angle between your nose and your upper lip. It may also correct a birth defect or injury.
In the past, nose surgery has involved primarily removing cartilage and making the nose smaller. While this approach is still utilized today when appropriate, the surgical plan for nose surgery is more customized to each individual, and whenever possible, cartilage is not removed so that the long term support of the nose can be maintained. We utilize various suturing techniques to reshape the existing cartilage in the nose. In addition, we utilize cartilage grafts or suturing to optimize the support of the tip of the nose and to improve the shape throughout the nose. During your consultation all of the various options are reviewed with computer imaging to show potential effects and limitations of surgery.
"Words cannot express how thankful I am to you. You've given me a nose that matches the inside of me."
