The below photographs are of Dr. Loomis' actual patients, but do not guarantee your results by him or other surgeons. Individual results vary.

Abdominoplasty with Liposuction and a Vertical Breast Reduction: this patient of Dr. Loomis' had an abdominoplasy, or tummy-tuck, which included liposuction of her upper abdomen, with the removal of a large amount of excess skin from the lower abdomen, plus a breast reduction. Pt is shown at only one month following surgery. The thin scar will continue to fade for an addition 1-2 years.
Abdominoplasty with liposuction: this patient of Dr. Loomis' had an abdominoplasy, or tummy-tuck, which included liposuction of her upper abdomen, with the removal of a large amount of excess skin from the lower abdomen. Pt is shown at 2 and a half months following surgery. Her thin scar will continue to fade for 1-2 years.
Mini-Abdominoplasty: this patient of Dr. Loomis' had a mini-abdominoplasty, or mini-tummy-tuck which included liposuction of her lower abdomen, with the removal of a small amount of skin through a very short and low incision leaving what looks like a c-section scar.
Mini-Abdominoplasty: this patient of Dr. Loomis' had a mini- abdominoplasty, or mini-tummy-tuck which included liposuction of her abdomen and hips, with the removal of a small amount of skin through a very short and low incision leaving what lookslike a c-section scar. She also had a repair of an umbilical hernia at the same time.
Abdominoplasty: This is a patient of Dr. Loomis' shown following an abdominoplasty during which a significant fascial laxity was repaired. Many times after having children or losing a large amount of weight, patients will have this sort of laxity which no amount of exercise can improve since it is an actual streching out of the fascia to which the muscles are attached.

Lower Body Lift: Sometimes there is circumfirential laxity to the trunk, especially following significant weight loss. In these cases patients may opt for a lower body lift which is a combination of an abominoplasty and a lateral thigh/buttock lift. This surgery removes the large amount of excess skin which hangs above the hips and falls onto the lateral thighs and buttocks. In this patient of Dr. Loomis' there was a marked improvement in the hip and waist area following this removal of excess skin.
Abdominoplasty: Patient of Dr. Loomis' shown following an abdominoplasty and ultrasound assisted liposuction of the upper abdomen and hips. We have found that by using different surgical techniques, liposuctioning may be carried out safely in the upper abdomen at the time of the abdominoplasty where with previous techniques it could not be. This has helped us obtain improved contouring and avoid a persistent upper abdominal fullness.
Abdominoplasty: This patient of Dr. Loomis' shown more than one year after an abdominoplasty demonstrates the typical fading of the scar over time.

Abdominoplasty

Liposuction, muscle tightening, removal of excess skin: a "Lipo TummyTuck" combines some or all these things as needed to optimize your abdominal contour. See actual results from abdominoplasties, or "tummy-tucks" in our video presentation below.

In some cases, an Abdominoplasty can be done with a very short, low incision often called a mini-abdominoplasty, shown in two pictures on the right, or primarily with liposuction. In most cases however, a longer "bikini" incision is needed to adequately treat a large amount of excess skin. The type of procedure you would require is determined at your initial consultation. Newer techniques allow us to refine our body contouring with various liposuction modalities to treat fat in the hips, flanks or upper abdomen at the same time as the abdominoplasty. This has expanded our ability to provide a comprehensive treatment of the abdomen. Of course, an abdominoplasty is not a method of weight loss, but one of recontouring. Your weight need not be at the ideal level, but it should be stable.

This movie describes "What it was like..." in a patients own words.
