This patient of Dr. Loomis' had upper and lower blepharoplasties done to treat a tired look to the eyes. The lower lid surgery also involved a midface lift which is best seen on the three quarter view. The irregular contour seen on the opposite cheek is transformed into a smooth, youthful contour of the lower lid / cheek junction.
This patient of Dr. Loomis' underwent an endoscopic browlift and upper eyelid blepharoplasty to refresh a tired look to the eyes. The surgery also helped correct some pre-operative asymmetry of the brows; the right medial eyebrow was lower than the left before and is more even with the left after.
This patient of Dr. Loomis' had excess skin of the upper eyelids which was treated with upper lid blepharoplasty surgery. The surgery is usually done under a local anesthetic in the office. Recovery is quite rapid, with most patients looking presentable the following week.

Even when there is a significant amount of protruding fat below the eyes, a fat-sparing blepharoplasty can still be done; smoothing out the bags, while keeping the youthful fullness of the lower lids. This patient of Dr. Loomis' is shown following lower lid surgery in which the protruding fat was smoothed out to fill in the lower lid grooves below the bags.

Traditional eyelid surgery involves the removal of the protruding fat around the eyes which causes bags. When this fat is removed from the lower eyelids, it flattens the bags but it also tends to flatten the whole area below the eyes, which can produce a hollowed out, operated look. It also does not improve the groove or dark circle below the eye. Youthful eyes are quite full, while older eyes are more hollow and skeletonized. Rather than remove youthful fat, Fat-Sparing Eyelid Surgery redrapes the fat which causes the eyelid bags using it to fill the groove below the eye. When there is also aging of the upper eyelids, an Endoscopic Brow Lift rejuvenates the upper lids without the traditional scar across the scalp. It can soften an angry, tired look to the frown area, while optimizing natural eyebrow positioning avoiding a startled high brow look. At times there is a small amount of excess eyelid skin which is also trimmed either at the time of the brow lift surgery or afterwards under local anesthesia in the office.
