Face and Neck Surgery Before and After
The eyes are the focus of attention on a person's face. It's there that we look into the person's feelings and state of mind. As our brow and cheeks age, the eyes can take on an angry or tired appearance which belie our true sense of calm and peace. Rejuvenating the area around the eyes in addition to the cheeks can help restore a refreshed and softer appearance to the face. Patient of Dr. Loomis' shown following an endoscopic browlift, upper and lower eyelid surgery, midfacelift and lower facelift.
A lower facelift helps restore a smooth jawline and tightens loose skin in the cheek area. Patient of Dr. Loomis' shown following a limited incision lower facelift.
The lower facelift treats the jowls, reduces fat in the neck, tightens neck muscles and redrapes neck skin to help improve the jawline and neck contour. Patient of Dr. Loomis' shown following a limited incision lower facelift.
This patient is shown following an endoscopic browlift, lower facelift and erbium yag resurfacing around the mouth. The scars are well hidden behind the cartilage in front of the ear (the tragus) and within the ear creases.
Excess skin and fat in the neck can make you look older and more tired than you feel. This patient of Dr. Loomis' had a lower facelift which treated a great deal of hanging skin and fat in the neck restoring a more youthful neck and jawline.
The lower facelift can help create a jawline where one was lacking beforehand. This patient of Dr. Loomis' never felt she had a neck or jawline. The lack of definition between the cheek and neck can make you look heavy when you're not. The reshaping of the neck and jawline is done with adjustment of fat and tightening of muscles.

Facelift Surgery

Facelift Surgery can help reverse the effects of gravity, exposure to the sun, and the stresses of daily life which can be seen in our faces as we age. Youthful fullness around the lower eyelids and cheeks begins to descend down the cheeks into the jowl area. The neckline loses its definition and excess skin and fat appears to collect in the center of the neck. With Modern Facelift Surgery we can correct some of these effects of aging. When surgery is not needed or desired, a wrinkle filleris another popular option.

A facelift (technically known as rhytidectomy) can't stop this aging process. What it can do is "set back the clock," improving the most visible signs of aging by removing excess fat, tightening underlying muscles, and redraping the skin of your face and neck. A facelift can be done alone, or in conjunction with other procedures such as a brow lift, eyelid surgery, nose reshaping, or the use of a wrinkle filler, such as Juvederm®, Radiesse®, Sculptra®, or Restylane®.
