For years, Dr. Loomis had an office on Park Avenue in Manhattan, as well as the office in Middletown, NY, performing surgery both in the city and in Orange County. We are pleased to say that he is currently so busy in the upstate area that he is providing his services full time in Orange County, seeing patients exclusively in the Middletown office. While a majority of the surgery Dr. Loomis performs is cosmetic, he also provides a broad range of reconstructive procedures for traumatic injuries, reconstruction following cancer surgery, and breast reduction surgery.

Dr. Loomis has always taken a lead in bringing the latest technological advances and innovations to his patients, while making their safety his top priority. He was one of the first to perform endoscopic breast augmentations and endoscopic forehead lifts in the New York area. He began providing fat-sparing eyelid surgery 16 years ago at a time when few surgeons in this country were considering it. He has made a number of personal innovations to minimize the necessary incisions with breast surgery and has extensive experience with the vertical breast reduction technique, as well as minimal incision breast lifts. He has explored and utilized a number of new liposuction techniques and technologies over the years. He has incorporated these liposuction techniques with advanced quilting suture abdominoplasties which avoid the need for drains, allowing patients to shower the first day after surgery.

In keeping with this desire to bring his patients the latest advances, Dr. Loomis has been researching the science of fat grafts in his own cell culture research lab in which he has isolated adult stem cells from human fat. He was recently appointed to The New York State Stem Cell Board, which manages New York’s 600 million dollar commitment to stem cell research in New York State.

Dr. Loomis is committed to serving the people of our area with honesty and integrity. He lives in Orange County with his wife and four children. In 2008, they were awarded the Knights of Columbus, International Family of The Year, and were subsequently invited by The Vatican to represent North America at the World Meeting of Families in Mexico City. He makes annual trips to Nicaragua and Honduras to provide Plastic Surgery free of charge to the poor, and was joined on his last trip by his wife, and his office nurses.

Why the Nautilus shell? The Nautilus shell is our logo because within it we find the universal aesthetic unit, or "Golden Ratio," of proportion used by the Ancient Greeks when designing such beauty in art and architecture as The Parthenon. This ratio, 1:1.618, was not an invention of the Greeks, but was recognized by them as a naturally occuring trait of beauty throughout all creation. For example, we find this ratio in beautiful spiral shells and flower designs. A plastic surgeon cannot create beauty any more than the Greeks could invent a new Golden Ratio. What we can do is help restore the beauty of your face which may have been partially dimmed through aging, sun damage or injury. Or we may remove a large distracting bump on your nose, which then focuses attention on the beauty of your eyes or cheeks. We may refine the contour of a hip or fill out a chest to better match the rest of your body. But the beauty lies not so much in the refinement itself, but in its harmony with the rest of your body. With these things in mind, we hope to present and provide our plastic surgery services with humility and honesty.

Dr. Loomis can perform your surgery in a surgery center setting, or a hospital setting at various health care centers within Orange County, or in the office if done under local anesthesia.
